Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to build a website?
A one-pager is typically live in two to four weeks. A multi-page site with seven subpages needs six to eight weeks, a premium site with more complex structures eight to twelve. The time depends mostly on how quickly you can supply content, meaning text, images and logos. The technical build is rarely the bottleneck.
Which system do you use, WordPress or Webflow?
Both are possible. I recommend WordPress for clients who want to maintain content themselves, need a blog, or depend on plugins. Webflow is the better choice for design-driven sites with less editorial work, less maintenance and no plugin risk. In the first call we work out which fits your case.
Is the website SEO-ready?
Yes, the SEO basics are standard here: clean technical structure, meta tags, Schema.org markup, optimised images, mobile first, fast loading. For a full SEO strategy with keyword research, content briefings and ongoing work I offer separate packages, either as the Planning plus SEO add-on at the start of the project, or as ongoing SEO support.
What is in the update service?
WordPress is a living system. Without regular maintenance your site becomes vulnerable through plugin security holes, and slow through an ageing codebase. The update service covers monthly plugin updates, quarterly theme and core updates, an annual PHP version update, and a backup before every larger update. Everything is tested on staging before it goes live.
What happens after launch?
You get a short CMS training so you can maintain content yourself. For 30 days after launch I am available for smaller corrections. After that you either carry on independently, or move to the update service or to ongoing SEO support.
