User Experience Design

Turn visitors into customers who come back, through user journeys that make sense to them.

My services in detail for your success

  1. User Journey Mapping

Mapping the paths your customers take, so the obstacles come out and the way to conversion is clear.

  2. Wireframing & Prototyping

Layouts and functions planned properly before development starts, which is where expensive mistakes are avoided.

  3. Usability Testing

Tests with real users surface the problems an internal review keeps missing.

  4. Emotional Design

Design that works and also leaves a good feeling behind, which is what keeps people attached to a brand.

How it works

  1. 01

    Discovery & Research

I look at your audience, your competitors and the data you already have, to understand how people actually behave.

  2. 02

    Analysis & Strategy

Where users get stuck, and a UX strategy that answers it.

  3. 03

    Design & Prototyping

Wireframes and interactive prototypes, so the new structure is visible before anyone builds it.

  4. 04

    Testing & Iteration

Solutions checked against real use and refined before the final build.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between UI and UX?

UI (user interface) is the visual side: colours, typography, layout. UX (user experience) is the whole experience of using the site: how easy it is, whether the logic holds, whether it is pleasant. Put differently, UI is what you see, UX is how you feel while you use it. A beautiful UI without thought behind the UX gives you a beautiful website nobody uses.

When should I invest in UX?

Three typical triggers. First, you have traffic but few conversions, and the site loses people on the way to the goal. Second, you are planning a relaunch and do not want to repeat the mistakes of the old version. Third, you are launching a product or feature where ease of use decides whether it works. If none of these apply, UX consulting is rarely urgent.

How do you measure success?

Before we optimise anything we agree on measurable KPIs, usually conversion rate, bounce rate, time on page, task completion rate (how many users reach a goal) and qualitative scores from usability tests. Afterwards we compare against the starting point. Where it is possible, I use A/B tests so the improvements are statistically sound rather than a feeling.

Do I need UX once, or continuously?

Both work. For most clients a one-off UX audit with clear recommendations is enough, and the team implements them internally. With more complex products such as shops, platforms or SaaS tools, ongoing work with regular usability tests and repeated rounds of optimisation pays off. In the first call we work out which fits where you are.
