A child's personal website, designed in Neo-Brutalism with pastel colours. At its heart is a self-built browser game about the Turkish marbling art of Ebru.
Neo-Brutalism in pastel: strong dark contours, hard offset shadows, large round shapes. The severity comes from the outlines, the warmth from the colour.
At its heart is a game built in HTML and JavaScript about Ebru Sanatı, the Turkish art of marbling. It makes the technique followable in the browser instead of only describing it.

Design
A website for a child may be playful without becoming arbitrary. Neo-Brutalism supplies the frame for that: thick dark outlines, shadows offset hard rather than blended soft, surfaces without ornament. The pastel palette takes the hardness out of the severity and picks up the colours of the marbled papers.
Thought out mobile first, because the site is mostly opened on a phone.
The Ebru game
Ebru Sanatı is made by applying paint to a thickened water surface and drawing it out there. The game reproduces exactly that sequence, in three steps: place the drops, pull the pattern, save the image.
Fourteen colours and three tools are available. The drop brings paint onto the water, the swirl turns it, the comb pulls the waves and flowers typical of Ebru through it. A slider sets the drop size. At the end the image can be lifted onto paper and downloaded, as in the real process.
No framework, no plugin, straight in the browser.
